You are missing the point. They are not saying that the British are the problem. They are saying that we should deal with the current problem the same way that we dealt with the British when they were the problem.

You’re right that fracture point exists, but you’re mistaken that it’s being used here. OP is an effective message that violence is how you change things when talking doesn’t work.
