I started trying to help her get it under control at 160lbs by taking her to the gym, cooking healthy meals instead of buying fast food, etc. She acted like she was being victimized, abused, and "made to feel worthless" because I didn't want her to become a cow, then tried gaslighting me into accepting her weight gain was my fault for not loving her enough and tried to sell me that "healthy at any size" bullshit.
When it got to where I wouldn't even let her lean against me on the sofa while watching TV because of how heavy she was, I knew our relationship was beyond saving. You ever seen a video of a huge dog that thinks it's still a puppy, trying to sit in someone's lap and crushing them? That's basically what she turned into, because no matter what anyone said, she could point to a hundred articles about how it was okay to become obese and anyone who tries to stop you is abusing your self-esteem.
