LIbs have no defense against reason. Their platforms are all about placating their masters.
One of the oddest meetings I was ever invited to attend was in mid-2003. I was living in South Korea and my boss, a very wealthy venture capitalist, invited me last minute to a dinner because he wanted some white faces. His meeting that evening was with a Mr. Lee, originally from Hong-Kong, now living in Taiwan representing what seemed like a terribly faltering company named Hi-Tech Computers that was looking for investors in its fledgling mobile phone sector. Mr. Lee, as he turned out, was white and British (although holding Chinese citizenship). After the dinner, my boss asked what I thought about the company. I told him it sounded too Chinese to make it in the global market and that the market looked too saturated already. He agreed. Hi-Tech Computers went on to control 11% of the global mobile market share under the more Western-friendly acronym HTC. I am an idiot.
