My biggest issue with normies is that they have so little self-confidence that they will gladly accept that some "authority figure" is more competent than them, regardless of that person's qualifications, performance, or moral character.
Only children and fools want to be told what to do.

The problem is that most normies are correct in their assessment of themselves as incompetent. They will follow whoever they perceive subconsciously as a parental figure (e.g. Dr. Friendly Grandpa Fauci).
