There’s a pack of them across the street from me along the riverbank, and they howl every evening and every morning. I chased one with the mini14 four days ago. Couldn’t get a bead on him at 100 yards with the peep sights in the fog, but he zigzagged a few times. I need to get the scope mounted and dialed in for the kill. Yes, I know, “mini14”....whatever. I have other choices, but this one is my favorite. I’ll post kill picks when I get him/them.

What's wrong with a mini14? I love mine

It's a scaled-down M14, which itself is either awesome or awful depending on who you ask. That aside, the accuracy was lost in translation and the rifles were both more expensive and less accurate than competing .223 rifles. During the last decade or so, the accuracy problems have been fixed with better barrels, yet their MSRP has risen.

I like mine too. There’s haters out there though.

Probably because they dealt with the older "inferior" versions.
