There’s a pack of them across the street from me along the riverbank, and they howl every evening and every morning. I chased one with the mini14 four days ago. Couldn’t get a bead on him at 100 yards with the peep sights in the fog, but he zigzagged a few times. I need to get the scope mounted and dialed in for the kill. Yes, I know, “mini14”....whatever. I have other choices, but this one is my favorite. I’ll post kill picks when I get him/them.

Sorry, one last thing about that, which was kind of amazing. I've fed birds here for many years. The morning I found the dead fawn, I was led to it. By a hummingbird. I went outside and a hummer flew right within to about 3 feet of my face, hovered for few seconds and chittered a bunch, then noisily flew straight across the yard to the farthest corner from me, directly to above the fawns body and chirped and hovered around over it. This was unprecedented behavior, got my attention and I walked over and saw it.
