To my knowledge, it was never proven that he was der Juden. The only thing I found regarding his religion was this pic right here:
Well I just saw in the title that his last name is Rosenbaum. I'd say that's the smoking shekel.
I know baums who are definitely not joos. Lots of them. It is a common German name that means "tree". I said this same thing when I made this meme: Show me one bit of evidence that he is actually der juden and I will add the star.
Apparently the Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle published an article saying Rosenbaum's family hadn't been practicing jews for several generations. A link to that article is gone, however. Did the article exist? I don't know.
His arrest records mark his race as unknown. He had been arrested or a number of things, including sexual molestation of a child.
So, there's no direct evidence it seems, that he was a jew. But if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...
