Why should I upvote your comment? It's a good comment, but why should I upvote you, when it does nothing for me?

2 year old account here, I can't remember why most of us came here 2 years ago from voat.

Reason for my post is, poal here is a fine site. Yet why should I upvote anything, when my downvote will get me sent to the mods?

2 years here, and just now learning about downvote = spam/mod/flag/review.

I agree with policy because I will not join something, then shit on their rules. I joined voluntarily. Here.

The difference now is Voat is forever gone.

2 years ago people went back to voat because Putt kept it up (mind you with daily downtimes) even though this place was created in response to Putts absence. Like a battered and bruised woman returning to her abusive husband, voaters went back to voat for another 2 years. Me included as this place lacked any debate, everyone on here would agree with eachother and that bored me.

This place is perfect in every single way and shouldn't change any policy or unpolished edge for any reason ever. The admins are polite and fair. People definitely don't worry about shitty badges and the algo. Any problem is quickly and appropriately handled by those in power.

Yes I agree. At same time, why doesn't 1st comment here say "FIRST". Seems here , and even at bottom of new posts "be the 1st to comment). Seems everyone up votes 1st comment, no matter what.

A lot of good discussion and info at 4chan as well as 8Kun but, like any crowd of people talking, you gotta pick an choose the people and discussions you wanna listen to. No way to make errrrbody happy. Just create some no off topic bullshit subs and in those subs keep the discussion civil but uncensored. Other subs can be wild monkey for the raging assholes that have to rage their assholes at people. Just a thought. But wtf do I know? I've never run a message board of modded anything before.
