What the fuck?

What the fuck?

Not really. That has increased over time, but I haven't noticed a sudden uptick. However, I find myself annoying myself by constantly starting statements with "So..."

I'm training with these video tutorials that are very well done, but the lecturer keeps endlessly going, "SoooOOOOO, then we ..."

It annoys me so much I feel compelled to mock it by repeating him in an even more exaggerated way. Watch me pick up this annoying trait, and I will really regret it.

Dumb people use words in place of a comma.

Absolute sign of lack of ummmm intelligence

It's the deterioration of social skills and confidence.

Between "um" and "like", I can't decide which one I hate more. I can't act like I don't use "um", because hearing it everywhere makes it second nature.

I like to mock people, when their mid ummm I say Duhhhhh.... until they stop

I didn't used to do it all and caught myself doing the "ummm" and "you know" shit the other day. Drives me nuts.

Since the widespread use of computers/phones, people are used to instant response. Humans try to achieve the same quick response while talking but their brain needs to catch up, so a pause (or um) is used.

I disagree... "I mean..." is the beginning of everybody's sentences these days... I first noticed it when I used to listen to Howard stern (when he was funny and not as jewey) and his interviews would drive me nuts. Now I notice it everywhere...ill take ummm and like anyday.

Nope. Way too fuckin much, just like always.

People have grown more used to expressing themselves through text than by speaking. This is a real problem but I don't think it's a new one.
