Democracy is looking worse and worse to me. Most people are beyond retarded. Look around and see who has equal standing... it's really bad. Most people shouldn't have any say.

"Democracy", "democratic", etc. should not have the positive connotation it has today. The USA has lasted only because of the many ways it is not a democracy - States Rights, Senate, Judiciary, Electoral College.

We need something closer to meritocracy, or aristocracy if that turns out to be impossible. Additionally, more decentralized governance to defend against inevitable central corruption.

I've always believed and agreed with this. In a fragmented society, people will form sub-collectives with their own personal goals and interests, ones that often directly compete against that of other groups. This inevitably results in jockeying for power, where politics/elections/whatever boil down to interest groups lobbying and buying off as many politicians as possible in order to benefit their own kind the most.

The idea that you can simultaneously preserve the major differences between races and cultures (diversity is our strength! Muh taco stands!), and also have everyone work together and cooperate fully, is insane.

Of course Aristotle was right.

Spot on, the ancient kings would mix races and culture together to ensure weakness so that a people could be more easily kept down, too much dissension to organize a resistance.

For anyone who's not familiar, philia is the Greek term for "brotherly love". It's not necessarily based on biological kinship, but rather someone with identifiable shared core values. If you're a Christian you'll find it all over the New Testament in reference to Christians who shared religious beliefs to a degree that trumped biological relatives, state authority, cultural pushback, etc.

As Aristotle astutely observed, it's nigh impossible for heterogenous societies to share philia. It'd be akin to Poalers sharing philia with someone who hates freesdom of speech and want to punch you if you disagree with them.
