When covidnstarted and I had a break up with a girl I started eating healthy drinking less and working out and running went from about 209 to 180 in about 6 weeks and have maintained it while getting stronger. It just makes ya feel better looking in a mirror and looking good and knowing you could run 6 miles at a decent pace if needed.

After many years I have discovered how awesome pushups are. I started with 6 sets of 10 done throughout the day with different hand positions for each set. Up to 6 sets of 50 (40 w 10sec rest then another 10)

I incorporate into non-chest lifting days. One month this year I did a 300 pushups/day challenge - tough but worth it.

hell yeah pushups, I got this thing called the perfect pushup, basically just heavy duty handles that spin, that thing will kick your ass! Not only does your arm rotate but you can dip lower than you would normally as the handles get you 3-4 inches off the ground, I can only do 25-30 at a time right now but in perfect form, and it really take the pressure of your wrists.

I've used those before. They look silly but are surprisingly difficult!

Well played

No you need to take a picture of it flexing. This is what weight lifters and bodybuilders do, it's not even a little gay. It's how you track and document progress. Here is some motivation: https://ibb.co/bP5ypTg

What's a decent pace? I'm at 8 min a mile for long distance runs over hilly terrain. 3 miles or less I'm at 7 min to 7.5min a mile.

[–] 0 pt

That's about my pace too. Cardio has never been my main focus though. I usually run or jump rope on off days

Yeah man. I've been weight lifting since I was 18... so about 16 years now with a few breaks in there. It changed my life. Even when shit is bad, it's what you can always come back to. It's meditative in a way. I had a recent tragedy in my life that has made me depressed sack of shit lately but riding my bicycle and going to the gym every day are helping to pull me back to normal. Gym friends are a big plus too. You won't generally find lefty retards at the gym.

Great points. This is going to sound weird but if you want a relaxing thing to do that is kinda like meditation and is not terrible for you I would suggest cigars or old man pipe. It helps to have a nice place to go and smoke away from people a nice park or some where with a view. Like lifting weights it gives you a non thinking routine and a breathing pattern kinda like meditation... cigars to me are borderline forced meditation I even try to do some meditation while smoking a cigar aka clear my mind focus on my breathing blow out nice smoke circles and just be one with everything...

Just my two cents

Also keep it up time heals almost everything

I have been thinking about getting my hands on some loose-leaf organic tobacco for this very reason. I enjoy smoking but I know cigarettes are full of weird shit.

I just finished day 5 in a row of snow shovel therapy.

I am growing stronger...

Snow today was wet and heavy as fuck.

Still did it twice as fast as day one.

If this keeps up I will be a fucking beast by April.

That which dies not kill you makes you stronger your enemy seems to be the snow.. inwould suggest situps or running man core strength stuff after fighting the snow and stretching after that.
