Dude, it’s in the post.
These are all very likely conditions that, if not directly caused by in-vitro conditions, can be aggravated by them. After doing a lot of research, I fully believe that progesterone usage by a mother at least predisposes a boy to homosexuality and can drastically lower testosterone. My OB wanted to put me on that crap and I fought it hard. Apparently most women don’t say no.
(And yes I know, gays reproduce via molestation. But not every boy who’s molested turns out gay. I think there’s a nature and nurture aspect to it.)
Did they explain why they prescribed progesterone? I've never heard of this.
Low progesterone levels are linked to an inability to conceive and early miscarriage. But there’s a question about what the causality is; do low P levels cause miscarriage, or is miscarriage merely indicated by low P? You also have to take massive doses of it if you’re doing fertility treatments.
Anyway, a LOT of women supplement with it these days, even if they don’t need to. My doc wanted me on it because I’d had two previous miscarriages. But my progesterone levels were normal at the time I conceived. Go figure.
I guess you could say: it's better to progest on yer own.
They might prescribe it in the very early stages of pregnancy, if your progesterone drops it signals your body to start your menstrual cycle. So if you have a threatened miscarriage... If you start bleeding due to very low progesterone levels, you may be prescribed progesterone as well.
Why does your ob wants to put you on progesterone? My cousin got married and got pregnant but she got some issues, she thought she should be put on progesterone but her docs didn’t mention
