Are you able to provide a source for what you'd seen?
I've also seen a tweet with a meme image kind of like this one but less detailed. It did explicitly include an adjustment for number of days but a couple of errors made its number of days wrong for 2020 (and its calculations and conclusion invalid). Unfortunately, Searchvoat didn't seem pick it up so it's dead with Voat.
AFAIK, the CDC mortality numbers are authoritative for the USA. I'm not aware of any other agency that originates those statistics (all-cause mortality).
Regardless of what my detractors say, I'm not paid for any of this. I point this out because I think it only helps America's enemies when we are barking up the wrong tree.
I don't recall the source of the numbers I had seen previously but I do recall it had 3-4 citations. It likely came from Voat. I'll see if I can find a copy and backtrace it.
