I moved over here since it seems like where the rest of Voat went but there are a few things I don't understand. When I upvote things it doesn't change the number of votes and my vote is gone when I refresh the page. Is there some kind of CCP requirement to vote or something? Also is there a way to view the top posts for the last 24 hours instead of the top of all time? I was a /v/all/top kind of guy on Voat.

Also what's the deal with downvotes here? I think I saw someone say you aren't supposed to downvote or something?

I do see the button turn blue but it's not blue anymore when I refresh the page.

My Christmas was shit. I thought I was lucky being one of the few people to get a 5800X without going through a scalper last month and then it died on Christmas day. Since there's no stock I couldn't get an RMA and had to downgrade to keep my computer going. At least Amazon gave me a full refund.

I wish I could say I was ready but I don't think anyone has enough ammo to be ready for the new year.

Damn bro, that sounds painful. Yup, everybody sounds stocked up to me. Don't forget your local coin store. Ask for Roosevelt's or Mercury dimes. Precious metals will always be money. Smaller denominations are easily tradable. Keep your powder dry.

Money isn’t worth shit. Invest in lead and brass, preferably combined for ease of use. A stash of med supplies, food and booze, for trading fodder.

Mercury dimes are 90% silver 10% copper. If you find yourself in a shit hit the fan situation and you have to bug out, I hope you have a roll of them in your pocket for the road. Precious metals have been currency since prehistory. In that situation, if I had a stockpile of food and you rolled by hungry, I would trade with you for the dimes. I don't recommend investing in gold right now, not even fractionals (cheaper/mixed.)
