I moved over here since it seems like where the rest of Voat went but there are a few things I don't understand. When I upvote things it doesn't change the number of votes and my vote is gone when I refresh the page. Is there some kind of CCP requirement to vote or something? Also is there a way to view the top posts for the last 24 hours instead of the top of all time? I was a /v/all/top kind of guy on Voat.

Also what's the deal with downvotes here? I think I saw someone say you aren't supposed to downvote or something?

Yeah that badge sure does make your comments and posts stand out. I mean we all should be doing a little suspicious behavior in todays day and age.

Sometimes votes arent going through, could be server-side could be your connection, its better than voat in this regard.

As to downvotes it's meant for spam, treat it as such but understand that voat tried the same thing in the begining and it was infeasible for a number of reasons so be respectful but understand it probably wont last too long. If poal keeps growing the practice will fall to eternal september.

When you upvote, the button should turn blue, you won't see the number change immediately. Down votes are saved exclusively for spam. It's a Poal culture shock for a lot of goats. I'm also from Voat, same username. I hope you had a Merry Christmas. Are you ready for the new year?

I do see the button turn blue but it's not blue anymore when I refresh the page.

My Christmas was shit. I thought I was lucky being one of the few people to get a 5800X without going through a scalper last month and then it died on Christmas day. Since there's no stock I couldn't get an RMA and had to downgrade to keep my computer going. At least Amazon gave me a full refund.

I wish I could say I was ready but I don't think anyone has enough ammo to be ready for the new year.

I sometimes use the popular "pop" tab. The admins frown on downvotes and the algo will give you a pink dogtag letting us know you're a faggot nigger. IDK the rest. Good luck!
