If you want to move forward and look into Ted's mind, his manifesto is interesting and has a couple of interesting ideas but it is far from true and easily debated.

I agree with many of his points and am concerned about many things that he brings up, but if you do end up reading his manifesto, relax.

Uncle Ted decided that he had to get his message to millions of people. He concocted a plan that achieved exactly that. He was willing to give up freedom for the rest of his life to achieve his goal, and he did.

Tit for tat, collectivism and violence become acceptable, indeed outright necessary, when your enemies would use such tactics against you. It's natural law as old as time and you cannot subvert it. Also Ted's targets were not random, they called him the 'Unibomber' because he targeted the types of academics who repeatedly denied the truth in his writings and tried suppress him (and later airports IIRC).
