Where’s the source for that grant amount?
I heard Senator Scott Jensen make a similar claim.
I don’t doubt there are big payouts, as can be seen on Becker’s Hospital Review website.
But I saw a doctor I know on Facebook basically mocking the claim that hospitals had financial incentive to drum up Covid deaths. Or at least making the argument into whataboutism (what about these sick people I’ve seen?)

We rate the claim that hospitals get more money if the patient is marked as COVID-19 and on a ventilator as TRUE.
And tests are being reimbursed at up to $100 per from Medicare.
