I can use youtube for an hour before my phone gets warm, I could browse voat during a long BM and it wouldn't get warm but in the time it took me to type this post my phone is warm, and after 5 minutes it is genuinely hot enough to make me worry that i'm damaging it.

Are you running Chrome? It's a resource hog. Firefox isn't much better.

I'm running brave for the built in adblocker, I think it's chromium based, but as I said nothing else does this to my phone, usually when it warms up It's the battery warming up but with poal its the area around my cameras at the top of the phone.

It's warm in 2 or 3 minutes and absolutely hot in maybe 6 or 7.

I'd try changing browsers, switching to desktop view and also watch power consumption of the browser.
