It does. I just learned to knit right before Christmas, I've always just stuck with crochet. I figure the next step is making my own yarn.

That sounds awesome. I would totally get an animal with some spinnable fiber and a decent spinning wheel and produce some nice wool garments from start to finish. You could do weaving too, like rugs or whatever.
