So do fascists. Most importantly the protected domestic market part and real corporatism. A system that rewards genetic fitness (not for psychopathy and lack of morals required to be a top tier capitalist), virtue, practices eugenics and punished criminals harshly without leaving anyone behind if they do honest valuable work.

Just assumed. Literally 99% of people over 40 in this country are whether democrat or republican. It’s because it worked for the average citizen back then and doesn’t anymore. People will like the system they got lots of stuff in without thinking about the future (especially in hyper atomized america.) I don’t want to use the B word as I’m trying to be nicer these days but a certain age group loves people like Reagan and thatcher and have no idea what kind of wealth transfer it allowed. That’s why I say we can’t be trying to become 1950s America anymore, it’s not possible. It was only possible because all the other first world countries on earth were bombed to shit and we had all the industry and the biggest stick. People think that if only x y z would happen we could all go back in time. Ironically in the 50s there was more regulation on business and social shit too but nobody wants to talk about that.
