You have to find the good stuff. Usually the nut based ones aren't very good. Rose and Citrus flavors are the best. I had some rose flavored Turkish delight about 15 years ago and I still remember it. Also I've never seen "Cream" or mint flavored but I would assume they are gross.

Personally I like the texture a lot more than other types of sweets similar to Turkish delight. It has a consistent bite throughout, so you aren't stuck ripping or cutting pieces with your teeth, unlike gummy candies you can usually find.

But yeah you have to get a good brand and the right flavor. A Mediterranean cafe/shop near me usually has a few verities, and most of them are gross.

I've never tried it, but it says Turkish in the name so I definitely don't like it.

It is sweet jelly cubes with flavour and it is covered in powered sugar, very little to not like. Some object to the rose flavour, but most are good with orange, lime, lemon... And I don't like the ones using creme de tartar, or with pistachios or walnuts in them. But they are like lightly flavoured oversized jelly beans.

Yeah the rose water flavor is a bit astringent, getting them made with lemon zest or citric acid in general gives it a nice flavor

Turks love it. I think it’s far too sweet Have you tried Dutch nougat? Much better

Amen to that.

Turks, presumably, are delighted by it.

Nougat is better.

Not a candy fan, I'd rather have a bag of jerky than a bag of chocolate anyday.

Same people that like fruit cake.
