You misunderstand; questioning what your government does with your money does not make you good or bad. Then again, anyone defensive in that situation clearly has something to hide.
Best to ask 'why is it so important that a foreign country get our money?'. Let them do the justifying, and then poke holes in their reasoning. Don't forget to remind them that Israel also has nukes and a border wall.
