Focusing on the air conditioning alone raises major issues. They said they ran 1960's era ac units on 1960's era solar panels with1960's inverters and 1960's era lead acid batteries to cool a small craft with 1/4" aluminum walls in over 212% heat. Oh and they had portable units for the space suits. Try putting on a space suit in the desert in 104% heat and you would be cooked in a few hours. Say you have an rv here on earth and you want to run an ac unit strictly off of solar...it can be done with the latest greatest split ac units and the latest gel battery tech and the latest inverter tech and the latest 21st century solar panels. It will cost a lot but as of the past few years in tech advancements in 100%ish weather it can be done. In space at 212% with old tech...and if it fails at all you die. Air conditioning alone im sayin no way.
