I've never really found any of them funny. Some of them have their moments but it's mostly racist humor no one else can get away with but is somehow funny when they do it because black people like to scream and shout their jokes out and I guess when you scream a joke out it's funnier. There aren't really any clever black comics. Pryor was a jackass. Chappelle/Rock/Hart etc... use racial humor as a crutch. O'neill was the same although he had some insights on women most of what he said was typical.
I recently watched a clip of Chris Rock. He actually did say something profound and funny. He said, "No white person would want to trade places with me and I'm rich!" I thought about it, and I didn't want to be him. Then he said, "Somewhere there's a one-legged bus boy like, 'I'm gonna see where this takes me.'"
