After being ejected into the void when Putt pulled the plug on Voat and becoming yet another nationless refugee I've been struggling to adapt to my new surroundings.

I am grateful to my hosts here at Poal. You guys have been welcoming, and even the content is not that bad. But there is something missing and I just can't put my finger on it. What it is isn't minor either, I feel my whole experience is diminished, but I just can't define what it is. I've also tried the other alternatives and they're even worse. The discord for example, it would seem people have already given up.

If anyone has felt this and managed to define it I'd be curious what you call it.

No, it isn't the same and wasn't supposed to be the same. It's the change you feel. Voat going away sucks but poal is the best right now so there is no choice if content and free speech are important. Not even sure if voat was better or worse in some areas but voat is what we know. We will learn poal and it will get better. Hang in there.

I hope so. And yet there may be hope. It has come to my attention that something is in the works. I was in a chat earlier with many familiar names. There is serious brainstorming and acting on going on as I type these lines to you. Urgency was the word of the day, urgency without haste.
