Pretty much every single (Prescribed) drug besides benzos, Aderall or opiates or something is just complete shit and barely does anything. I don’t know the reason why this disease makes you shake but wouldn’t some benzo work? I know they give you that shit for alcohol withdrawal and DTs but I’m guessing the reason for the shaking is inherently different?

The disease is somehow related to the GABA neurtranmitter function. Which is basically how benzos work. Exclusively in GABA A I think.

Yup. It is. The reason you shake when withdrawing off alcohol is because when you’re drunk for so long that your body literally thinks it is now necessary for survival (it essentially is at that point) the level of gaba neurotransmitters is so filled at equilibrium that when you go cold turkey you start having DTs and could actually die. At rehab centers they put you on benzos for a good week and ween you off because it’s so dangerous when you are withdrawing from years of constant alcohol abuse. Benzos and alcohol are the only two drugs in existence that you can literally fucking die from if you stop immediately. If the disease works on gaba than alcohol benzos should work for sure.
