I've never coded more than a few lines of if then or hello world on free code academy, so I don't know, but was Voat's code that special that none of you clever code fags can figure out how to copy it without having it on hand?
Voats code is on github or a clone of reddit even which voat was based on. Not sure if the code of voat is still on github tho. It wasnt that special no just a modified version of something else. This website as I recall was based on similar
There are quite a few clones of reddit, including voat, poal, and saidit. Voat was a custom one-off. You wouldn't want to use his code anyway, because it broke constantly. And it ran on a platform that cost $6000 a month in licensing fees. Saidit ran a fundraiser a while back. They can run their website for $200 a month. Most of that cost is bandwidth.
