Rather than deprogramming a cult member, I offer to you an alternative:

reprogramming cult members.

The answer to fear is anger.

And the answer to brainwashing is indoctrination.

Brainwashing attaches itself to the identity. So the only way to remove it is to strip someone of their identity.

Hence why militarism or "fascism" as the left calls it, is the answer to bolshevism. The uniformity of discipline and the desire to 'fit in', ever present in cult members, is what acts as the achilles heel here, it what gives you an opening to fix these people, to whatever degree they may be salvageable.
