I watched some old Disney movies. Wholesome, magical, and family oriented.

What happened to that entertainment?

When was the last time a 'family movie' came out?

Everything is either super childish or extremely adult.

Beethoven? The movie about a dog. That was good.

I especially liked the Disney film where they had to throw the lemmings off a cliff.

I don’t know, I blame Disney for veganism

[–] 0 pt

I like veganism. Better vegetable dishes and less people eating meat that I want. Win win.

I haven’t ever known veganism to create good food. All they do is add hot sauce or fry their shit. Or even worse, they bring out pajeet shit curry, so stinky and disgusting

Not all indian food is bad and they’ve done wonders with peas.

The Jews got Disney...

Song of the South

Great Disney movie. Have you seen it?

Nope. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks.

Saw this quote today from Gigi Gorgeous, the transgender role model

>Gigi is now a role model for her millions of LGBTQ fans, and she realizes how much representation matters. “Honestly, for me, there really was nobody,” Gigi recalls. But as she thinks about it, she remembers an early role model in a movie. “I felt like** I saw myself in ‘The Little Mermaid’ in Ariel, which is a very trans-girl thing to identify with**,” she says. “I think that the psychology behind it is that she didn’t have genitals because she had a tail. But being a little kid, I did not think about it like that.”

Damn those jews are slippery. Twisting The Little Mermaid like that.

Hard to tell in these parts, but I'm going to assume that's sarcasm and back out of this thread.

I used to think Fantasia was good, even bought the tape for my boys. Now I'm not so sure.

Disney was wholesome? WHOLESOME? Holy fuck, where did I end up?

I know we are supposed to use our words here instead of the downvote button, but I don't even know where to begin writing in response to people who still think that Disney movies are wholesome. I'm wandering in the wilderness.

What era are you referencing?

Everything Disney. Including Disney himself.

Sorry, my dog had to go out to poop and I was in a hurry. I realize my response was lacking.

Even I can point to a few individual films made by the Disney corp. that don't support my thesis. However, Disney as a person and the institution have been used to groom children for abuse and have harbored child abusers amongst their ranks. Their cartoons have hidden meta messages that traumatize kids and set girls up specifically for manipulation. Go through all the Disney movies you know of, how many involve the mother or both parents being dead, killed or missing from the story.

I've watched the original black and white clips of Disney and his executives around children and I have to say that their body language and the manner in which they touch and speak to kids was disturbing.

I wanted to find some links to post regarding this issue but so many of them are couched in religious symbolism and references to the "illuminati" that I don't find them useful in making the point. And honestly, I'm not sure the time is well spent with people who enjoy these films and have some kind of fond memories with them. Those experiences are the ones that will matter to the individual as opposed to the overall big picture.

Out of curiosity did you feel the same about Mr. Rogers and how he acted around children?
