I feel the same way. However, mainstream atheism is like some kind of weird, left-wing religion. Ironically I think atheists are more likely to dogmatically believe in an imminent doomsday than Christians these days.

The leftism is what made me re think my atheist beliefs. I strongly disagree with your assessment of doomsday. The thought of the rapture/end times is so deeply ingrained in modern Christianity it is insane.

I think it is the communist jewish programming that infects our public schools and targets white kids to be scared sheep who wont breed. Atheism is wrong because it rejects the moral basis of Christianity. There should be a middle ground for people who want to live a decent life but not believe in god. A place in the church I mean. The part of Christianity that i never understood for the greater whole of my life was the disjunction between preaching the grace of god, mercy of christ's sacrifice, and being belligerent and strong arm the community to believe everything of the local church's preachings. the strong arm aspect has faded away as i've grown up, but that part is what keeps other cultures out. Being merciful to insiders and merciless to outsiders.
from a pure logical standpoint, this appeared to be hypocrisy because i did not see the border between insiders and outsiders, and in the school system i was actively taught that this border did not exist. The entire reason i questioned Christianity from an early age was i felt no sense of community growing up.
There is also the issue i still have about proof of power, how a priest of a true god would grant the ability to heal wounds, cure diseases, or cast minor miracles at the minimum. If a god truly has no limit to its power, trivial parlour tricks granted to the faithful should not cause any major problems and if god is truly all knowing, he could revoke power missused before, during or after it messed something up.
Then i took this to its logical conclusion, and wrote a short story that can shatter faith about man's claim that god is all knowing, all powerful, and is everywhere at once. But right now, shattering faith of any christains on this site would not accomplish anything positive. it only works if the target considers rape an unspeakable thing, so muslims and jews are not affected unfortunately, which proves to me they worship demons.

The christians want their religion acknowledged as superior, and allowed to proselytize at will, and that's where we part company.
