Congress will try to overturn the veto and I don't think they care about how that would look. They'll do it. They don't think they can be touched.

They won't just try. It takes 2/3rd of each chamber. The House version passed 295-125, the Senate version 86-14. It'll revote and carry easily next week. Congress hasn't said no to the war machine since before your great grand daddy's potential siblings were a stain on your great great grand mama's dress.
