Totse.com was the first mainstream forum with free speech. It was basically the most successful free speech forum back in the days. They even had their own merchandise. On January 17, 2009, Jeff Hunter the founder announced the end of Totse without explanation.

This makes me draw parallels with Voat.

It was funny as hell when I was a kid; cringe now. Ebaumsworld was the other I remember from the old days.
