I personally prefer saying "should" instead of "if" whenever they're interchangeable.

E.g. "If you're interested, we can do X" vs "Should you be interested, we can do X"

"If" seems beta to me for some reason.

Yes they do...connotations can change at a moments notice (revolution)...denotations change much more slowly (evolution)...I choose to use denotation due to the fact that I do not want to memorize another damned definition. I am a man set in my ways; not a woman who changes her mind every second.
