I personally prefer saying "should" instead of "if" whenever they're interchangeable.

E.g. "If you're interested, we can do X" vs "Should you be interested, we can do X"

"If" seems beta to me for some reason.

Thoughts?

On the flip side, should can sound pretentious or condescending. Tone is important obviously. If can be beta in a sense but again tone.

I hadn't really considered it. I'll think on it.

both words are logical operators, nothing more, nothing less. for example: if...then statements in programming. you are letting your sociological outlook determine your language.

I see what you mean, but words have connotations

Yes they do...connotations can change at a moments notice (revolution)...denotations change much more slowly (evolution)...I choose to use denotation due to the fact that I do not want to memorize another damned definition. I am a man set in my ways; not a woman who changes her mind every second.
