Not fat, you can fish, you can hunt, you can improvise, you can make basic tools, you know science well enough to wield it without Google
You don't have to be perfect but all this shit should always have a certain level of proficiency and you should be able to hone them if needed
I'm good on most of that, my butcher skills are lacking though
Most important thing is to get the guts and innards cleaned out asap and the carcass put on ice. How you cut into it after that is purely preference.
There are some great videos on jewtube how to field dress with a 4 inch knife. I learned on the fly while hunting.
Was hoping to get my first deer this year to learn, but only saw doe. I'll try harder next year
You'll be able to get the meat out one way or another if you need to. Do it a few times and you'll teach yourself pretty well
