Put simply, sex is your physical body or your biology. Gender identity is who you are as a person, socially, emotionally and psychologically.

Um. No. Both sex and gender are determined biologically. The new term "gender identity" is how you define yourself sexually. In other words, gender identity is how you let other people know you have a mental illness.
