It's where you'd traditionally go to meet and make friends with other people that you wouldn't meet otherwise, particularly in your local community. I don't frequent bars any more, but if your group mixes with a different group, you can find many good friends or people you like, that will expand your social circle. >All the women [here] are whores. That said, even when considering actual whores or people you don't like, it can be entertaining or interesting to observe or listen to the "simple" people in bars, more than likely there's more to most people than meets the eye. In fact, if they're working at a loser job, it's maybe because they have other passions or interests that take priority over their day-job. >Loud, shitty music If the music is so loud that you have to yell, or can't hear each other, then you're either in a "live music" bar, club, or just a shitty bar in general, find a better one that suits you. >Expensive beer Apart from higher profit per bottle, bars also use this to filter out the crowd they want. If the beer is very cheap, you'll get the riff-raff and homeless drunks/drug addicts that will chase out the rest of your market. It's funny how you're complaining that the women are whores, and that the beer is too expensive at the same time. Maybe you're in a gold-digger bar? >I much prefer drinking with friends in private As do I, however, you're not going to meet any new people there unless it's something like a house party. If you're drinking with only a few close mates it's going to get repetitive, predictable, and ultimately boring after a while. And unless you've got your own girl waiting for you at the end of the night, you'll be going to bed alone.
