Maybe I'm misunderstanding this, but this doesn't sound revolutionary at all. There's not enough information on how this tech works to go off of. It just sounds like a personal assistant program. How is this going to keep Facebook and Google and my phone from following and recording my activity around the internet?

It sounds like this service is going to be a competitor to Facebook and Google. If you don't use Facebook and Google, they can't track you. It sounds like Berners-Lee is promising everyone a new service that does not take your data and that you manage it yourself.
