In Australia... the native population for the last 60,000 years were hunters and gatherers...they would burn the bush to farm the natural wildlife (their food) and force the native fauna to reproduce aka more vegie food.. This act would also prevent large scale bushfires. As "global warming" has increased the CO2, the earth has become greener. Hence the increase in possibility of bushfires. As the Australian bush has a high concentration of eucalyptus oil, more bushfires will occur.
