A lot of us are disturbed by what's going on in the world today. [A Wisconsin State Senator](https://twitter.com/TimCarpenterMKE/status/1275716467007328258) has been assaulted and beaten by a mob, along with countless other innocents. [A statue honoring Lincoln](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emancipation_Memorial), *dedicated by Frederick Douglass and paid for by freed slaves*, is slated to be destroyed. People who speak out against this are being silenced, fired from their jobs, sent death threats. It seems America has gone mad. So please don't restrict your commentary to online platforms. **Reach out to your neighbors.** Make sure they know what's really going on, and make sure they don't feel all alone. A good line to start with is "Everything going on is pretty crazy, huh?" You don't have to get political, but I'd suggest bringing up some of the examples I provided, or maybe the CHAZ/CHOP. These are all things that almost everyone can agree on are insane, regardless of their political stance. Change isn't going to come from just posting memes online. Please take the time in the next week or so to reach out to your neighbors and friends.
