As far as I can tell Putt doesn't even want revenue, he hasn't monetized the ad space or implemented any "gold" type features despite users often asking for something to spend money on, merch or whatnot.

If "Putt" isn't just a team of CIA / 5 eyes / Mossad street shitter coders keeping the honeypot open for business but not too popular I would be surprised. This is actually the reason I left.

The more I browse Poal the more I come to think that Putt is not bright enough or too stuborn to accept help. People constantly offer help for free and nothing seems to change. Reddit is suiciding and other than the hobby subreddits I can't enjoy the constant leftist censorship and SRS/SJW nonsense.

My hobby subs will never get banned so what do?

I don't think putt is dumb. Stubborn most likely. I have known people like him. Coders who are great at coding and kind of oblivious to reality. I think that's how he is. Ignores Voat (outside of coding) until some fire, then puts out fire, then back to coding. No plan. Not even a plan for a plan. Just coding to finish his big project. It eats at him night and day. He must finish. All else is secondary. Offers for help do not help him finish his project.

Problem is, no one is asking for his project, wants his project, or needs his project.

What they ask for is how to help. What they want and need is a stable free speech platform and his project does nothing to solve that.

So many (like me) have just said fuck it and left or logged out and switched to lurk mode. Why bother? Site could disappear any day. All it takes is one car accident or major life change and he is gone forever along with Voat.

I'm not too knowledgeable about the whole situation, but from my experience there, we enjoy our content, and are only ever asked to donate if we get a huge influx. There isn't even a strong sense of urgency, just "The servers are down for a bit, here's a bitcoin wallet if you know how to use it." I seriously don't know why some people are upset. Tell me why, because all I see is a free website that goes down once in a blue moon.
