This person lives and exists among the homeless. I've tried many times to bring them in but they refuse to abide by my conditions.

1) No chemicals in my home. Marijuana is okay with a prescription.

2) if they will be dealing with chemical addiction withdrawal they need to tell me beforehand so we can be prepared medically and emotionally.

3) we are quarantined. That means chores and quiet contemplation. Nobody leaves in the middle of the night. No guests. They come they live like we do.

You see bums everywhere in life but it sucks when it’s a family member that just keeps shooting himself in the foot with stupid/impulsive decisions. You’re doing the right thing. He’ll either get tired of being at the bottom or he won’t.... You’re doing your part.

This is a tough one and I feel for you as much as your brother. Self Agency is not something you can give a man. It's something he must take for himself. Hopefully he decides to take it.

Good luck with things. Watching the degradation is demoralizing and I've personally had to drop a lot of people around me and even left good jobs because of it. I hope you can stay confident in yourself through this time and don't give up.
