I know a guy who fully fixed up what was considered a wrecked Tesla model S. That was pretty cool.
And a friend of a friend got an insane deal on a Prius with a dead battery and replaced that himself, but that dude is weird and I don't really know him or how well that went...
Whatever... I'm fine with my snarfy old not-very-good mileage cars with pretty good power and better than pretty good handling and brakes.
Was the Tesla's battery replaced? That's something I absolutely would replace.
Actually, I think he just had to fix some shitty connections that corroded. I should ask him about that.
