Damn man that's bleak. I would argue that human life does have value. At least some human life.

No more than an ant or cow. The people with an IQ over 100 that can be productive members of society have more value than the morons and sub humans.

But if life is rare in our universe then isn't all life valuable. I'm sure eventually we will find other life but as of right now we're alone

If a hunk of shit is the only one in existence does it have value? If the universe is truely barren and we are alone then our presence will not mean anything to anyhting but us and the other organisms on the planet. If we are not alone then I am pretty sure whatever life is out there wants to live just as much as our species does and will regard us as competition for resources.
