Well damn! Today I learned.... Broom has become a pest in the parts of the US where it was imported. I'm not sure they will sell it around here. I have been trying to figure out what to plant on some rough ground near the house but that may not be the right plant. I need to ask my nursery. The purple broom sounds like it might be attractive.

Lots of varieties, only a couple (dyers, spanish) are invasive on the US west coast. Probably plant some on a hillside I'm working on. Nice of you to start the thread.
