I blame Dora the Explorer for these idiotic government officials. "Swiper, no swiping!" has manifested itself in feminism as "Rapists, no raping! No means no!" and now "Criminals, no criming!" - with the expectation the villains will just listen to reason! If martial law isn't tacitly in place already, when these criminals start fucking shit up after release, you know there will be an official declaration 'for everyone's safety.'
