I and my employer order a lot of electronic components. We've both noticed that shipments from China seem to be moving again, although some factories still seem to be shut down. The PCB fab house I use sent me a letter asking about new projects, and other parts have started to move again. This is in contrast to January/February (discounting the Lunar New Year) when nothing moved.

So. Did they get a handle on this thing or is it just their government going work work work we don't care if you're dying?

I regularly order small bits and pieces from China on Ebay and other places, knowing that they will take a while. I ordered a thing on Amazon that was coming from China in early Jan and it had an estimated time of 6 weeks to arrive. After that time had long since elapsed, I approached Amazon. They declared the package lost and refunded my money. Lo and behold, it arrived today.

I usually allow 8-10 weeks for China shipments depending on the carrier. Orange Connex seems to be the best at getting things here quickly, but others take their good ol time.
