Call me a nigger faggot for coming on a random forum to rant. Either read or not, idc, can't really discuss it anywhere else and I figured at least a couple here would get what I'm talking about.

Was in a debate with some retards about wahmen in the military, and why it's overall a pretty shitty idea (for obvious reasons). I eventually made some kind of comment like "Plus the ones that are in all get pregnant before deployment." and this happened...

Person: Citation? Myself: Ask any soldier who has had to serve with women. Person: That's not a citation, I want a citation to a study that proves this. Myself: You don't need a study to prove the obvious, I'm not going to disbelieve the existence of gravity because there isn't a study saying that when you throw a ball up, it's going to come down, it's observed by billions of people. You won't find a study stating the obvious because it's a waste of time (of course, for a moment I forgot I was living in clown world). but every military member I know, both online and in person, says this happens, even women.

Then said person proceeds to find some retarded "study" explaining the obvious about gravity, and then proceeds to write a mini-essay about how I am not intellectual or some shit and I'm thinking "these sounds like fucking legalese" that's when I see it... "berg" in the name. Admittedly they could of been of German, but come on, "berg", argues in legalese, and holds the opinion of "intellectuals" above those who are actually partaking in the subject matter? Of course to keep my sanity I essentially had to say "Whatever, I prefer the words of people who have experience in the subject over some intellectual with no ties or experience at all, brainstorming about it. If it makes you sleep better at night I concede.".Even if I did waste my time finding a study they demanded, they would of just given me "not a credible source" or something anyway. So yes, I essentially lost because of some weaselese-speak, despite the fact common sense should of made it not even be a debate in the first place. I would not be surprised if a tribe member demanded the citation of an "intellectual" if I made the statement "If you don't breath, you will die." And yes I am aware 99% of "intellectuals" are fellow tribesman.

Does anyone else loathe this behavior?

I never pondered the "get pregnant before deployment" thing, but yes, if the idea of imminent real war zone deployment makes you fear for your life (and you obviously can have objective reasons to actually start fearing for your life eventually in that context), then yeah then it's a matter of survival in your head, and yeah it turns into a "whatever it takes" to sort that out situation, and yeah... If getting pregnant is an option you'll go for that one. It's that or I broke my leg falling in the stairs or whatever... Your call. What would you pick? The safest and most straight forward path to "victory", which in the case of a woman is the get pregnant card, easy, you don't even have to give birth I guess ultimately, you passed the pregnant test

...

I don't see what's totally out of the realm of the possible here, no need for studies to prove anything, life is a matter of priority
