I feel for you. About a month ago I was called at work by my son who told me that my youngest daughter had spilled a glass of milk on my new gaming laptop.
Always keep your old shit around, you might need it.
This has saved me a few times. Had a laptop take a shit while I was on call for the weekend. Pulled out my old one, ran a few updates and I was good. It also meant I could take my time finding a deal on a new laptop instead of having to buy one immediately.
Just last year I have my 10 year old Hills hold out laptop to a friend who needed it. If I can't get this one fixed maybe I'll drop him a line to see if he held on to it.

HDMI to USB or some shit if it's available. If you're in luck, it might have an HDMI port.

Double checking the ports was my first move. I found an old monitor, a VGA/HDMI adapter... No power cord. I might have one in my box of cables at the office. I'll check tomorrow.
