theres lots of big money folks moving in. the culture has shifted jarringly to the left. stumptown (whitefish) used to be a nice little mountain hamlet 5-10 years ago, now there are anti trump rallies downtown. I personally have worked inside 20 million dollar houses being built. interesting houses, end-of-the-worldy houses......theres one sequoia capital (google) ex-employee that comes to mind that has established himself as king of whitefish. he's in trouble right now for suing the city to get rid of the police chief. it seems the chief took offense at this individual "bribing" the detective assigned to investigate him. I use quotes around bribe because that's the word used by the missoulan to describe the situation. I'm merely a local talking over the back fence about interesting local occurences, y'know.
I don't know what this is about, either.
just interesting local events. it just strikes me as odd that this little town is so...….interesting.
Do you think it's a nice place to live otherwise?
no. it was, but the influx of refugees from the cities is like nothing ive ever seen. unscrupulous local businessmen cherry pick employees and pay them ridiculously low wages. they lay off people as soon as the snow hits because there are always more suckers desperate for work. in summer, rental and hotel occupancy is at 100 percent. glacier park has had 3 million tourists in recent summers, smashing records regularly. property values are skyrocketing and there are no more locals in whitefish, just presumptuous Californians and their trust fund asshole children racing around all hours in their overpriced douchemobiles. crime has skyrocketed. the middle class is dwindling so fast you can actually see it. in nearby evergreen trailer parks are popping up everywhere to house the people that scrub the whitefishers toilets. they've ruined this place. and I don't hear spencer saying a word about it. if he was a normal American ho would be aghast at what has happened to his hometown...….
